Chelsea and Liverpool kicked off the 2023/24 Premier League season in style with a thrilling 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge.
The match was a back-and-forth affair, with both teams creating chances. Liverpool took the lead in the 18th minute through Luis Diaz, but Chelsea equalized through Axel Disasi in the 37th minute.
The second half was just as exciting as the first, with both teams pushing for a winner. However, neither side could find the breakthrough, and the match ended in a draw.
Chelsea's new signing Raheem Sterling was one of the standout performers for the home side, creating several chances and linking up well with Kai Havertz and Timo Werner.
Liverpool's Mohamed Salah was also impressive, but he was denied a goal by a brilliant save from Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez.
The draw was a fair result on the balance of play, and it was a great way to start the new season for both teams.
