A UK-based Nigerian woman, Prudence Daniel-Obia reportedly passes on barely days after her 36th birthday while heavily pregnant with triplets.
A social media page dedicated to Nigerians in the diaspora identified as @NIUKCommunity broke the news on the micro-blogging platform X.
According to reports, the news of her first pregnancy was such a delight for her and she had since made preparations for the arrival of her triplets with her husband.
However, three days after her 36th birthday, Prudence slept and refused to wake up, leaving her husband and family in deep agony.
Her friends and loved ones have since set up a GoFundMe page to support her family in this time of distress.
The Nigerians in the UK page wrote;
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of a Nigerian in the UK who tragically died on Friday the 21st of June,2024.
We’re raising funds in memory of Prudence Daniel-Obia.
Late last year, she got pregnant with her first child. Excited for what the future holds, coupled with her new immigration status, Prudence was really hopeful for the coming months, excited to become a new mum, and had the dream of starting a new family with her beloved husband.
However, on Friday, the 21st of June 2024, just three days after her 36th birthday, tragedy struck! Prudence went to bed and did not wake up! She died, together with her unborn babies (she was expecting triplets), leaving behind her distraught husband and aged parents.
In this time of grief, we are reaching out to our community for support.
Please consider donating to help the family cover the burial expenses and provide some relief to her grieving family.
