Former Inter Milan striker, Antonio Cassano, has hit hard on the club’s boss, Simeone Inzaghi, following their embarrassing defeat in the final of the 2024-25 UEFA Champions League to PSG.
Cassano believes there was absolutely nothing to take home from Inter Milan’s performance against the French Ligue1 champions.
DAILY POST reported that PSG goals came through the boots of Achraf Hakimi, Desire Doue(2), Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Senny Mayulu.
It became the biggest defeat of any club in the history of the UEFA Champions League final.
Cassano told Viva el Futbol that PSG destroyed his former club in every way possible.
He said as quoted by Tribal Football, “Inter was destroyed in all respects. Personality, game quality, ideas.
“The worst defeat in a Champions League final…It was an exhibition.”
He pointed out that while the manager’s tactics went well against Bayern Munich in the quarterfinals and Barcelona in the semifinals, it could not work against PSG.
“It will be hard to get up, to understand who to start from, it will be very hard, it remains in your mind how I have been carrying 4-0 from Spain for so long,” the Italian added.
