The Police Eagle-Ney Surveillance Team have arrested two suspected armed robbers, Telvin Richmond and Frank Obiorah, after it intercepted a black Toyota Corolla car with registration number RSH 90 RC driven by the duo.

The suspects were arrested by the Police during a routine stop and search duty along Otokutu Bridge, on June 18 at about 12:20hrs, DAILY POST can report.

Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, Bright Edafe confirmed the report in a statement in Warri.

He said, “The vehicle and the suspects were subjected to a thorough search, a locally made cut-to-size gun, two yellow hand-bands inscribed with NBM “neo black movement”, one battle axe and a wooden pistol, all concealed inside the compartment of the vehicle doors.”

According to SP Edafe, “Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects are members of the Aiye confraternity and that one of them bought the gun in the year 2024 for the sum of eighty-seven thousand naira from another suspect presently at large.”

He also noted that,”suspects are in custody, and that investigation is ongoing.”
