Victor Osimhen is reportedly in a positive frame of mind following fresh efforts by Turkish giants Galatasaray to secure his signature on a permanent deal this summer.
According to Galatasaray reporter Kağan Dursun, the club’s vice-president, Abdullah Kavukcu, recently sent a representative to Nigeria in a bid to persuade the Super Eagles striker to commit to the move.
“Galatasaray wouldn’t send Abdullah Kavukcu to Italy for no reason and have him sit at the table with Napoli, and Abdullah Kavukcu wouldn’t send one of his men to Nigeria and have him meet with the Turkish Consulate for a project like a school etc,” Dursun said (via Habersarikirmizi).
“That they had previously discussed with Osimhen. In other words, there is a green light from Osimhen here.”
He continued, “However, this doesn’t mean that Osimhen has agreed 100% with Galatasaray.
“Right now, while he’s in this frame of mind, you need to finish Osimhen. Suddenly, the Arabs make a crazy offer or a top 10 club makes an offer that he wants and things can change.
“However, right now, Osimhen is already in a positive mood for Galatasaray.”
Osimhen, who has been a subject of transfer speculation across Europe and the Middle East, remains under contract with Napoli, but Galatasaray appear keen to capitalise on his current openness to negotiations.
