Nigerian music artist Gabriel Oche Amanyi, popularly known as Terry G, is currently under fire on X following a recent public appeal aimed at reviving his music career.
The 39-year-old singer took to his X handle to express his desire for collaboration with key industry figures. He noted that if renowned director TG Omori could shoot the video for his song Kolomala, High Fashion handled his styling, and Davido contributed a verse, he would regain his peak form.
In his words:
“All I need is TG Omori to direct Kolomala for me, High Fashion to style my look, and Davido to bless me with one verse. I don’t even need promotion .”
Shortly after the post, a user who appeared to be a Davido loyalist brought up a controversial tweet from Terry G in 2024, where he seemingly downplayed the “Big 3” debate, claiming that only Wizkid mattered.
He had tweeted:
“Muthafvck the BIG 3, niqqa it’s just BIG WIZ… niqqa BUM!!! WIZ is HIM”
In reaction to the resurfaced post, another user wrote:
“I no sure say na that bros main account be this. Maybe them hack am. Can’t be.”
Terry G, however, confirmed he was responsible for the tweet, stating:
“This is Gabriel Oche Amanyi aka Terry G!!”
Sharing the tweet, the user identified as @Timmieloner mocked him, writing:
“lol go collect verse from Wizkid na ozuor”
Terry G humorously replied:
“Gbe emwin na“
Despite the backlash, Rahman Jago, CEO of High Fashion, responded positively. Quoting Terry G’s post, he wrote:
“Consider the styling done OG“
Terry G appreciated the gesture, replying:
“HIGH FASHION you too much.”
