Nigerian singer, Terry Apala has given activist VeryDarkMan a 48-hour ultimatum to pull down his defamation post about him.
Verydarkman alleged in a post that Terry Apala, along with DJ Tunez and DJ Osas, were invited by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and collected money from them.
According to a letter written by Terry Apala’s lawyer to VDM, the allegations made in the post are false and damaging to Terry Apala’s reputation. The statement released highlighted that VeryDarkMan wants to use Terry Apala to gain clout and that the narrative would cause damage not only to Terry Apala but also to the EFCC.
The statement disclosed that the allegations of bribery were untrue, stating that he has never bribed anyone before. He also provided an alibi, explaining that he was outside the country for a couple of months, observed the Ramadan fast.
As stated in the letter:
“I want to state clearly that this bribery allegation is a total lie and has no basis in reality, especially recently. I have never bribed anyone, nor have i been involved in any kind of financial corruption with any organization or individual, whether public or private”
“It troubles me that this unfounded accusation is been spread around without proof. It needs to be publicly refuted quickly to protect the integrity of the EFCC and to clear my name from this unfair connection.”
