Senior Police Officers have threatened IGP Egbetokun and demanded his retirement.
NewsOnline Nigeria reports that some senior police officers accused of falsifying their ages have allegedly threatened the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun.
According to a report by Sahara Reporters, the officers allegedly want him to retire at the same time as them.
They are also said to be questioning his actions after retirement.
NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the officers, whose official retirement dates were reportedly extended due to age discrepancies, allegedly believe that the IGP should step down alongside them.
The situation has raised concerns within the police force, as Egbetokun’s post-retirement influence and decisions are now being challenged.
