A Nigerian man has cried out in distress after his 19-year-old sister was allegedly killed by her boss, only for the police to present the wrong corpse when asked to identify her body.
This is contained in a post shared on a popular social media platform, X (formerly Twitter).
In the post, shared by user @ChuksEricE, the grieving brother narrated how his sister was called to work by her boss on February 13.
After several hours without communication, the family tried to reach her but to no avail.
Days later, they were informed that her boss had allegedly killed her. Shockingly, the boss reportedly confessed to the crime.
However, when the family requested to see her body at the morgue, the police presented a corpse that, according to the brother and their mother, was not their sister.
In the emotional video, he said: “On the 13th of February, my kid sister’s boss called her from home back to work. After a long day, we tried to reach out to her but couldn’t get to her.”
“After we searched for days, we got information that her boss had killed her. The woman acknowledged it.”
“But the body shown to us by the police isn’t that of my sister. I know my sister, and my mum knows her daughter. We examined the corpse, and it is not her.”
“Even with our testimonies, the police are still trying to compromise the case. The people involved are trying to influence the investigation.”
The family is calling for justice and accountability as the video continues to gain traction online.
