Former Akwa United forward Mfon Udoh has reflected on his achievement as the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL topscorer.
Udoh won the topscorer during the 2019 and 2024 NPFL season.
DAILY POST recalls, that Udoh was the first NPFL player in history to win the award twice.
Udoh stated that the achievement was humbling and rewarding.
“In 2019, I had the distinct honor of emerging as the joint highest goal scorer in the Nigerian Professional Football League,” Udoh stated on his Facebook page.
“It was a truly remarkable and fulfilling moment—not only because I topped the scoring chart once again, but because it marked a historic achievement.
“To becoming the first player ever to win the golden boot twice in the history of the league. To etch my name into the records in such a way was both humbling and deeply rewarding.”
