Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has identified basic education, infrastructure, and power generation as key sectors hindering the development of Northern Nigeria.
Writing on his verified Facebook page, Governor Sani made the observation when the leadership of the Board of the North West Development Commission, NWDC, led by its chairman, Hon. Lawal Samaila Yakawada, paid him a courtesy visit at Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, Kaduna.
He stated that the sectors mentioned are critical to unlocking the region’s economic potential.
According to him, by addressing these core areas, “we aim to confront broader challenges such as poverty, unemployment, insecurity, and economic stagnation.”
The governor further disclosed that their discussions focused on tackling the pressing developmental challenges confronting the North West region.
He added, “The NWDC team reaffirmed their commitment to working collaboratively with stakeholders across the region. I, in turn, urged them to remain steadfast in their mission and assured them of my full support. Together, we will work towards delivering meaningful and sustainable development for our people.”
