The All Progressives Congress (APC) recently organized a grand rally in the Kosofe area of Lagos State to promote its candidates ahead of the 2025 Local Government elections.
The political gathering drew a large turnout of supporters who rallied behind the APC aspirants vying for positions in Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, Kosofe Local Government, and Agboyi-Ketu LCDA. Adding a touch of celebrity glamour to the event were several Nollywood personalities, including Yoruba film stars Foluke Daramola and Sola Kosoko.
A trending video from the scene showed the actors mingling with attendees, with Foluke Daramola seen urging citizens to come out and vote during the polls.
The Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) has slated the local government elections for July 12. According to Tope Ojo, LASIEC’s Head of Public Affairs, elections will be conducted for 57 council chairmanship positions and 376 councillorship seats across the state.
