A violent clash between two rival groups from Kwari Berger and Anguwan Roka areas of Maitumbi, Minna, has purportedly left a vigilante member injured.
It was reported that the fight took place on Saturday.
The Niger State Police Command Public Relations Officer, SP Wasiu Abiodun, disclosed that on June 7, 2025, at about 3 pm, some miscreants from Kwari Berger and Anguwan Roka, via Maitumbi, engaged in a fight at Angwan Kadara by the Railway area of Maitumbi.
Abiodun explained that in the process, one Waja, a vigilante, was injured and was rushed to the General Hospital, Minna.
The command further explained that police operatives from Maitumbi and other security agencies from Operation Flush moved to the area.
Abiodun stated that the suspects were dispersed and normalcy was restored to the area.
He avowed that efforts are ongoing to apprehend the miscreants responsible for the offence.
