Written by Areatatafo

Final year students of Gyutiev Model College, Saghev Ward, Guma Local Government Area, Benue State, have reportedly set ablaze the residence of their principal, Mr Isaac Yina.

The incident, according to reports, occurred in the early hours of Friday.

The students alleged that the principal failed to register them for the 2025 National Examinations Council, NECO examination, despite having collected N85,000 from each of the 178 students.

When contacted by DAILY POST, the Public Relations Officer of the Benue State Police Command, Udeme Edet, stated that she had not yet received the report.

She, however, assured our correspondent that “when I find out, I will let you know.”

Meanwhile, Guma Local Government Area has been in the news recently following a deadly attack on the Yelwata community, which left over 200 people dead.
