A young man from Kenya, whose identity remains unknown, caused a significant commotion by burning his vital certificates and educational documents as a symbolic gesture representing his frustration with his job search.
In a recorded video, he submerged his academic qualifications into a metal cooking pot, setting it ablaze. Although he remained silent throughout the act, Kenyans interpreted his actions as a manifestation of his disappointment with the lack of employment opportunities in the country, despite his impressive academic accomplishments.
With great attention to detail, he methodically arranged and burned his credentials, ranging from primary school to university, including the graduation booklet that proudly displayed his name.
The incident evoked sympathy from netizens, who advised him to persevere even in the face of adversity. Many pointed out that it was premature for him to lose hope in life, especially considering that his university had recently celebrated its 21st graduation ceremony.
