A Nigerian man has taken to social media to express his heartbreak after his wife appeared in an interview with online personality, Egungun, where she claimed to be single—despite being married to him since 2022 and having a four-year-old daughter.
This incident was shared on X, formerly Twitter, by user @ChuksEricE, who posted the video of the woman during her interview.
In the clip, the woman boldly stated that she is single, noting that she’s always been in relationships but is now just “chilling.”
She added, “I’m 22. I need a kind man, generous and fine.”
After the video went viral, the woman’s husband came forward to expose the truth.
He shared a message online, revealing that the woman in the interview is his wife and that they have been married since 2022.
According to him, their union produced a daughter, and her family has refused to return his dowry.
He wrote: “Three days ago, I was just receiving messages from my friends all over, telling me they saw my wife on Egungun’s page, where she said she is a nurse and single. Meanwhile, we have been married since 2022, and she has a 4-year-old daughter for me.”
“I live in Asaba and she is living in Lagos. Her parents have refused to return my dowry, and this has been eating me up. I have all the evidence you need.”
As of the time of reporting, the woman is yet to publicly respond to the allegations.
