A Nigerian man has shared his terrifying experience after narrowly escaping a bandit attack in Zamfara State. He revealed that while his bus managed to escape unscathed, a Kaduna Line bus and several oncoming vehicles were not as fortunate.
The account, which was shared on X (formerly Twitter), described how the bandits opened fire indiscriminately on vehicles along the road.
According to him, the incident occurred around 2 p.m., approximately 20 kilometers from Talata-Mafara in Zamfara.
He wrote: “We escaped a bandit attack yesterday at around 2 p.m., 20km from Talata-Mafara. The bus behind us — a Kaduna Line bus — was not lucky, unfortunately. They rained bullets on oncoming cars indiscriminately.”
His post has since sparked concern across social media, with many users flooding the comment section to express shock, sympathy, and frustration over the increasing insecurity on Nigerian highways.
