Yinka Theisan, the ex-wife of Nollywood actor Linc Edochie, has opened up about her past relationship with May Edochie and the series of events that contributed to the collapse of her marriage.
In a recent interview with actor and influencer Uche Maduagwu, Yinka revealed that her connection with May began when she helped Linc recover his hacked Instagram account. Following the incident, Linc publicly acknowledged her assistance, which caught May Edochie’s attention especially as she was facing similar internet issues at the time.
May later reached out through Linc, and Yinka offered her assistance. However, things took a drastic turn when Yinka liked a social media post from Judy Austin, Yul Edochie’s current partner—featuring Judy’s child. According to Yinka, she interacted with the post not out of support for the ongoing family drama, but because she wanted to remain neutral and uninvolved.
This simple act triggered backlash from “May Nation,” the strong online fanbase of May Edochie, who began attacking Yinka online. The backlash intensified after Yinka publicly shared May’s phone number in response to the mounting criticism an action that quickly spiraled into controversy.
The resulting media storm, she claimed, placed immense pressure on her marriage, ultimately leading Linc Edochie to call it quits.
Yinka clarified that she has never had direct contact with Yul Edochie or Judy Austin. Her support, she maintained, was limited to occasional social media interactions and had no deeper motive.
She said, “When Linc’s Instagram account was hacked, I was the one who retrieved it, so he posted about it, that a friend helped him recover his account. I was that friend. May saw the post and requested my number because she had issues with hacking, and I helped her to the best of my ability.
“So now all this started when I liked Judy’s baby’s picture. I have never spoken to Yul or Judy in my entire life. So all I did was decide I was going to be neutral from now on. I do not want to hate or point fingers, so I wrote stuff, and some people attacked me.”
