Leverage NOA platforms to explore data driven campaigns – Minister to Commissioners
Written by Areatatafo

The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris Malagi, has called on Information Commissioners of All Progressives Congress, APC, to build synergy and leverage platforms like the National Orientation Agency, NOA, to explore data-driven campaigns in the country.

Malagi made this call during the Progressive Governors’ Forum, PGF, Quarterly Meeting of Honourable Commissioners for Information from APC-controlled states, held in Minna, Niger State.

He urged commissioners to engage directly with community leaders, traditional rulers, youth organizations, and market associations to translate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s initiatives into hope and action at the grassroots level.

Declaring the conference open, Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago represented by the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Abubakar Usman emphasized the critical role of strategic communication in building public trust and supporting policy implementation across the country.

He observed that governance is not just about policies or infrastructure but about how effectively those actions are communicated to the people.

Bago stated that APC is witnessing a “silent revolution” in people-centered governance and urged commissioners to be “stewards of our stories and architects of trust.”

The Niger State Commissioner for Information, Binta Mamman, highlighted the role of commissioners as frontline communicators and strategists responsible for promoting good governance, aligning state narratives with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, and shaping public perception.

Binta emphasized the commitment to building a New Niger through transparency and public engagement, using communication as a tool for development, accountability, and mobilization.
