Former Nollywood actress and one-time beauty queen Regina Askia has addressed Nigerians in the wake of former President Muhammadu Buhari’s passing.
Taking to her Instagram page, Askia cautioned against celebrating the ex-leader’s death. She called on the public to act with dignity and compassion during such moments.
The actress emphasized the fleeting nature of life and encouraged citizens to focus on meaningful service to others rather than engaging in mockery or disrespect.
She wrote: “President Buhari journeys home today. Let’s send him off respectfully with a prayer. Remember, dust we all are and to dust we will return. Let’s make each day count in service to each other with the time we have on earth. Journey well Mr President, rest in peace.”
