Popular Indian chef, Lata Tondon, has broken her silence after being displaced as the holder of the longest cooking marathon (Cook-a-ton) by Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci, in a sensational turn of events.
Previously, Lata Tondon was heavily criticised for her initial reaction to Hilda Baci’s record-breaking achievement, leading her to delete a previous post congratulating the Akwa-Ibom chef. This action sparked backlash from netizens.
Lata Tondon, who previously held the record for 87 hours and 45 minutes, was surpassed by Hilda Baci, who achieved an impressive record of 93 hours and 11 minutes.
After two days had passed since the announcement, Lata Tondon took to her Instagram page to share a congratulatory message to Nigerians and Hilda Baci for accomplishing this remarkable feat. She expressed her happiness for Nigerians and extended her best wishes to Hilda.
In her post, she wrote, “Namastey Nigeria. I’m very happy for you all & my best wishes to Hilda!”
