A Nigerian lady has taken to social media in tears to announce the cancellation of her wedding after discovering that her fiancé of seven years was secretly involved with another woman—despite them already having a child together.
The heartbroken woman shared her emotional story through a series of posts on TikTok, where she could be seen crying and expressing deep pain over the betrayal.
She explained that she had devoted everything to the relationship—her loyalty, love, body, forgiveness, and even motherhood—only to be rewarded with deceit, heartbreak, and violence.
“You didn’t just break my heart, you broke my spirit,” she wrote in one of the conversations posted.
“I gave you everything. Seven years. My loyalty. My body. My heart. My forgiveness. Even a child. And you gave me betrayal, lies, and in the end, violence.”
She recounted how the situation escalated after she calmly confronted him about the secret affair. Instead of receiving honesty or remorse, she claimed he physically assaulted her.
“When I found the truth, I didn’t scream. I didn’t hit. I didn’t curse. I simply asked for honesty. And you beat me. You beat me because I dared to confront what you knew was wrong.”
Sharing the pain of emotional, physical, and mental abuse, she revealed that she had cried so much she thought her tears had run dry.
“I’m cancelling the wedding. I’m walking away. Not because I stopped loving you, but because I finally started loving myself.”
She ended her note with a powerful declaration: “What you did to me emotionally, mentally, physically—it will stay with me forever. But I will rise from this. I will heal. I will rebuild. And you’ll remember that the woman you lost was the one who would’ve loved you for a lifetime.”
The lady also shared screenshots of their private conversations, including a heartbreaking confession that the betrayal hurt even more because of who the other woman was.
“But this? This last betrayal? It broke me. Not because it was the worst, but because it was her.”
She expressed deep sadness that she would now raise her child alone, a reality she never envisioned for herself.
“I only wanted a family,” she wrote. “Single mother was not the plan ooo. Chei.”
