Chef Dammy, a determined Nigerian culinary expert, has made an exciting announcement in her quest to surpass Hilda Baci. The talented 22-year-old chef, Damilola Adeparusi, widely known as Chef Dammy, plans to undertake an extraordinary 150-hour cook-a-thon, as reported by the Nigerian Tribune.
During a press conference held in Ado-Ekiti, the capital of Ekiti state, Chef Dammy disclosed her intention to break a Guinness World Record (GWR). She expressed gratitude for the support she has received from individuals and organizations both within and outside Ekiti state. As a 300-level Mass Communication student at the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Chef Dammy is determined to achieve her goal through this extensive 150-hour cooking marathon.
This announcement follows her recent denial of pursuing a Guinness World Record. In a statement on her official Facebook page, the talented chef clarified that her initial objective with the 120-hour cook-a-thon was to push her own limits rather than solely aiming to break records. Despite facing criticism, Chef Dammy expressed her joy in persevering and not giving up.
“I previously stated that I embarked on this journey to test my capabilities, not for any GWR. I am thrilled that I cooked for 120 hours and proud that I never succumbed to challenges,” she stated confidently.
