Gospel musician Theophilus Sunday has come under fire from Ossai Ovie Success, over his pre-wedding photo shoot with his fiancée, Ashley White.
The gospel singer revealed his engagement to his Jamaican girlfriend Ashley White on Tuesday, March 19, along with a preview of their pre-wedding photo shoot.
The gospel singer was seen clutching his fiancée’s waist in the pictures, which showed the duo dressed in white.
Ossai, the former Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa‘s senior special assistant on media, responded by expressing his dissatisfaction and pointing out that it is customary and unethical in Christianity to hold the waist of a woman who is not one’s wife.
Considering that Theophilus was a Minister of God, Ossai chastised him for using the picture to portray immorality to the world.
According to Ossai, God disapproves of the picture of the singer holding the woman’s waist.
He underlined how improper the action was and asked Theophilus Sunday to consider the context and consequences of his actions.
Directly addressing the gospel performer, Ossai implored him to recognize the seriousness of his deeds and ask God for forgiveness for continuing such behavior.
He penned:
“Dear Gospel singer Theophilus Sunday, Holding your fiancé’s waist is an immoral act
This is against the body of Christ.
Holding a woman waist that is not your wife is a taboo traditionally and an immoral act in Christianity.
As a minister of God, you are passing immorality to the world with this kind of photo.
God is not happy with you right now because holding a woman waist that is not your wife is same thing as having canal knowledge of her.
Look at her waist, see the positioning and also look at what makes you a man.
You will understand what I am saying.
This is wrong in all ramifications.
If you are seeing this post , kindly go on your kneel and ask our God for forgiveness.
Ossai Ovie Success.”
