At the 17th edition of the Headies Awards held on April 27, 2025, at the Landmark Event Centre in Lagos, Nigerian internet personality and outspoken critic, Martins Vincent Otse—widely known as VeryDarkMan—made headlines for an unexpected moment on the red carpet.
The event, themed Back to Base, welcomed a host of notable celebrities, including Davido, Annie Macauley, and Regina Daniels. Amid the buzz, content creator Almera Danjuma attempted to interview VeryDarkMan during his red carpet appearance.
A viral video captured Danjuma’s efforts to engage the controversial figure, who initially ignored her, despite her visibly standing in front of him. After some time, he briefly responded, explaining that he generally avoids answering questions during public events.
