Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has taken a significant step by reappointing Mr. Fatai Owoseni as Special Adviser on Security matters. The announcement of this reappointment was made on Thursday.
Mr. Owoseni, a former commissioner of police in Lagos state, brings his valuable expertise and experience to the position, ensuring the state’s security matters are handled effectively.
In addition to Mr. Owoseni’s reappointment, Governor Makinde also announced the reappointment of Comrade Bayo Titilola-Sodo, a former chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in Oyo State, as Special Adviser on Labour matters. Furthermore, Mr. Segun Adegoke, a retired Assistant Comptroller of Immigration, has been reappointed as the Special Adviser on Homeland Security.
The Governor also appointed Chief Bayo Lawal, the immediate past Commissioner for Trades and Commerce, as Senior Executive Assistant on General Duties, recognizing his dedication to public service.
Several other key appointments were also approved by Governor Makinde, including Mr. Olatilewa Folami as Director-General of Oyo State Investment and Public Private Partnership (OYSIPA), Mr. Elias Adeojo as Chairman of the Water Corporation of Oyo State, and Mr. Olufemi Awakan as Chairman of the Oyo State Board of Internal Revenue.
In addition, Dr. Debo Akande has been appointed as Executive Adviser for Agribusiness, International Cooperation, and Development, and as the Director-General of Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency (OYSADA).
Governor Makinde urged all the appointees to view their positions as a call to further serve the state and its people. He emphasized the importance of dedication and loyalty in carrying out their responsibilities.
These appointments take effect immediately and are expected to contribute to the progress and development of Oyo State under the leadership of Governor Makinde.
