Tope Alabi, a gospel musician, has thanked everyone for their support following the death of her junior colleague and mentee, Aduke Gold.
Tope expressed gratitude in an Instagram post on Saturday to people who showed love and support. She also expressed gratitude for the cash contributions that assisted with the funeral arrangements.
“We are overwhelmed with gratitude as we reflect on the outpouring of love and support we received following the passing of Aduke Gold,” she said in an email.
“To those who took the time to reach out with condolences, greetings, and words of comfort, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your kindness and empathy meant the world to us during this difficult time.
“We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to those who supported the burial ceremony with financial contributions, donations, and in-kind support. Your generosity helped us honor Aduke Gold’s memory with dignity and respect.
“To the artists who selflessly gave their time to minister at each program, we are forever grateful. May God bless your genuine hearts, and may we be spared from a similar fate!

Aduke Gold’s burial took place on Friday in Lagos, following a candlelight procession on Wednesday night.
She died on August 12 after a fight with cervical cancer.
