Georgina Rodriguez is facing criticism for what some perceive as a lack of respect towards Dolores Aveiro, the mother of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Recently, the family gathered in Madrid to celebrate Cristiano Ronaldo Jr.’s birthday on June 17, with Rodriguez taking charge of the event. Unfortunately, Ronaldo was unable to attend due to his national team commitments in Iceland.
Dolores, accompanied by her partner Jose Andrade, traveled from Portugal to be present for the celebration. However, they opted to stay at La Finca, a 5-star hotel in the Spanish capital, instead of joining the rest of the family.
Rodriguez shared multiple photos from Cristiano Jr.’s birthday party on her social media, but noticeably, Dolores was not included in any of the pictures. In response, Dolores shared a video of the party on her own Instagram account on June 22.
During the talk show Noite das Estrelas, aired on CMTV, several commentators criticized Georgina Rodriguez for sitting while Dolores stood, expressing their disapproval of what they perceived as a lack of respect. One commentator, Maya, pointed out the disparity and stated her disapproval, while Daniel Nascimento highlighted that it was the children who should have gotten up, not Georgina.
Maya further emphasized, “If Georgina was a diligent daughter-in-law, Dolores would be in her rightful place! It is a lack of respect!”
Additionally, journalist Leo Caeiro from the Portuguese network CMTV claimed that Dolores Aveiro was unable to spend much time with Cristiano Jr on his 13th birthday. Caeiro noted that although they shared some moments together, there doesn’t appear to be a positive relationship between them.
The situation has drawn attention and raised questions about the dynamics within the family, leading to a debate regarding respect and inclusion.
