The boat’s captain, who was aboard with Nollywood actor John Paul Odonwodo, also known as Junior Pope, and other actors during the accident, has shared his account of the incident that took place on the Anam River in Anambra State.
The boat captain, in a recent update broadcasted live days following the attribution of blame for the team’s demise to him, conveyed his perspective. He previously shared on Facebook: “There’s undisclosed information being concealed, then being thrust solely upon me. That individual sporting a tattoo (JC Okafor) has levied numerous accusations against me, and due to his celebrity status, the masses are inclined to believe him, casting blame upon me as the primary catalyst for the tragedy. People are circulating the notion that it was an accidental occurrence. However, I refute this claim. It’s not an accident but a deliberate scheme aimed at Junior Pope.”
