American music icon Beyoncé experienced an unexpected technical glitch during the opening night of her ‘Cowboy Carter’ tour in Houston, Texas.
The mishap occurred on Saturday when a red Cadillac-style flying prop, which was carrying the singer above the audience, suddenly malfunctioned mid-performance. In a now-viral video circulating on social media, the vehicle began to tilt precariously in the air, prompting Beyoncé to abruptly halt the show.
Visibly alarmed, she shouted, “Stop, stop, stop!” as the music cut off and the flying car hovered above the crowd. Thankfully, the situation was quickly brought under control, and Beyoncé was safely lowered to the ground with assistance from security personnel.
Once safely back on stage, the star addressed her fans with gratitude, saying, “I want to thank you all for loving me. If ever I fall, I know that you all will catch me.”
Her team later confirmed that the incident was caused by a “technical mishap,” and no injuries were reported.
