Ajax forward Chuba Akpom has advised Arsenal to sign Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyökeres over RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Šeško.
Akpom insisted that Arsenal need the Sweden international, adding that he is a beast.
Gyökeres and Šeško have both been linked with a move to Arsenal this summer.
In a viral video on TikTok, via TBR Football, when asked which striker the Gunners should sign between the duo, Akpom, a former Arsenal player, said: “Gyokeres for me, and it’s not even close, to be honest.
“You can talk about the age of Sesko but Gyokeres is ready now.
“If Arsenal are looking for [a striker] now, then it is Gyokeres. I think he is a beast and we need him now.”
Arsenal are eager to sign a new top striker in this summer transfer window for their manager, Mikel Arteta.
The Premier League North London club want to bolster Arteta’s attacking options in a bid to compete for the English top-flight league title next season, after missing out to Liverpool.
