The ongoing online feud between controversial musician Portable and Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has escalated, with both entertainers exchanging harsh words on social media.
The clash began after Laide Bakare, during an interview, referred to Portable as a “dirty boy from Sango” and claimed she had never met him. Her comment, along with her controversial statement labelling Nigerian women who migrated to Libya as “call girls,” provoked a strong reaction from the singer.
In response, the Zeh Nation boss slammed Bakare for insulting struggling women and accused her of speaking with condescension. He took to social media to publicly criticize her, questioning her reputation and intentions.
Unbothered, Bakare hit back on Instagram, writing in Yoruba, “Portable, let your head be correct.”
Portable, not known for backing down, responded with a video laced with controversial remarks. He boldly declared his desire to sleep with the actress, stating that she was no longer married. He initially addressed her respectfully as “Aunty Laide” but later dropped the title, saying she no longer deserved it due to her disrespect.
The singer further accused Bakare of inviting him to an event without paying him, mocked her celebrity status, and questioned her financial standing. According to him, she was trying to look rich while allegedly struggling behind the scenes.
Portable insisted that the entire drama began with Bakare’s insensitive comments about Libyan migrants, and that he would have remained silent if she hadn’t disrespected them in the first place.
The public exchange has sparked varied reactions online. While some fans see it as unnecessary drama, others view it as a clash of egos between two outspoken public figures.
