Deeone Reacts To Jude Okoye’s Release

Aderombi Adedayo Martin, popularly known as Deeone, a former Big Brother Naija housemate, has shared his thoughts on the recent release of Jude Okoye from detention.

Jude Okoye, the former manager of the now-defunct musical duo Psquare, had been detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for allegedly being involved in a N1.38 billion fraud scheme. After spending over two months in custody, he was eventually released.

In a video posted by Deeone, he questioned Jude directly, asking if it was true that he had “stolen” the large sum of money. He emphasized that the amount involved was substantial, attributing the situation to greed.

The comedian, who is known for his humorous take on serious topics, expressed his belief that the EFCC would not have held someone for such a long period unless there was truth to the accusations. He went on to suggest that if Jude had needed financial assistance, he could have reached out to his brothers instead of allegedly taking what wasn’t his.

Deeone also used the opportunity to offer advice to young people, urging them not to take what doesn’t belong to them. He posed thought-provoking questions, asking how many rooms or cars one person truly needs at once. He emphasized that material wealth should never come at the cost of ethics and integrity.

Additionally, Deeone voiced his support for Peter Okoye, who had testified against his brother Jude in court. Despite previously having disagreements with Peter, Deeone expressed his solidarity with him in this legal matter.

The comedian also took a stand against fans who had been congratulating Jude on his release, reminding them that it’s important to speak up when something seems wrong. He further questioned what Jude’s plans would be if he ever became a leader in the future, urging for deeper reflections on leadership and responsibility.

Deeone’s remarks shed light on the ongoing case while reinforcing the need for accountability and moral integrity, particularly for those in positions of influence.
