As the highly anticipated release of David Adeleke, better known as Davido’s fifth album 5ive, approaches, fans and close associates of the Nigerian superstar have been sharing videos on social media to show their support.
A recent reshare of an old video by one of Davido’s fan pages brings attention to his previous remarks about football legend Cristiano Ronaldo. The video features Davido, a known fan of the Portugal international and former Real Madrid star, jokingly claiming that he was the source of Ronaldo’s luck throughout his career.
“Na me give am luck,” Davido humorously said before he proceeded to sing a line from his hit song Fall, in reference to Ronaldo.
Released in 2019 as part of his A Good Time album, the track Fall includes lyrics where Davido sings about why his friends call him Ronaldo, further cementing his admiration for the footballer.
The old clip recently caught Davido’s attention, prompting him to respond to the comment he made about the football star.
“I was a mad man,” he said.
