This year’s Father’s Day celebration provided another special moment to honour men worldwide, and Nigerians joined in by sharing heartfelt messages and photos of their fathers or father figures.
Among the celebrated dads was Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido. The singer received love and recognition from both his wife, Chioma Adeleke (aka Chef Chi), and his first daughter, Imade Adeleke.
Davido took to social media to share a video showcasing how Chioma celebrated him on the special day. In addition, his daughter Imade, whom he shares with Sophia Momodu, also sent him a touching Father’s Day tribute.
Through an Instagram post on her account (managed by her mother), Imade shared a throwback photo of Davido holding her in his arms, accompanied by a simple but heartfelt caption:
“Happy Father’s Day.”
Davido, visibly moved by the gesture, responded in the comments with affection:
“Thank you my love … ❤️… Daddy’s superstar.”

The sweet exchange comes shortly after Davido and Imade reunited at her recent birthday party a moment that stirred public conversation and criticism of Sophia Momodu on social media.
