Davido has postponed the release of his forthcoming fifth album by one month.
Originally set to debut on March 15, 2025, the album will now be released on April 18.
The artist did not provide an explanation for this alteration in the release schedule, particularly as the album was anticipated to launch in just 20 days. Nevertheless, fans will eagerly await the new release date.
The year 2025 has commenced energetically for Davido, who received his fifth Grammy nomination at the 67th Grammy Awards, where he was recognized for Best African Song Performance for his contribution to Chris Brown’s track ‘Sensational’.
Additionally, Davido has been nominated in five categories, including Artist of the Year, at the upcoming 17th Headies.
In anticipation of the album’s release, Davido has unveiled two singles: ‘Awuke,’ featuring Jamaican Dancehall artist YG Marley, and ‘Funds,’ featuring Chike and OdumoduBlvck.
In a social media announcement regarding his next album, the acclaimed artist characterized it as a deeply personal project.

‘5ive’ is also anticipated to include a collaboration with Nigerian superstar Omah Lay, who has indicated that their song represents an ideal partnership.
Furthermore, Adekunle Gold has recently hinted at a potential guest appearance on the album, which Davido and his fans hope will follow the success of his record-breaking fourth album, ‘Timeless’.
