Dantata deserves to be immortalised for his legacy – Akpabio

President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has expressed sadness over the death of a renowned Philanthropist, Alhaji Aminu Dantata who died on Friday.

This was contained in a condolence message signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Hon. Eseme Eyiboh, on Sunday.

Akpabio described the late Dantata as a man with a good heart who dedicated his life to helping the less privileged.

“The late Aminu Dantata’s love for humanity was shown in his strong commitment to the plight of the poor and the needy. His philanthropic work remains unforgettable in the history of our nation,” Akpabio said.

He added that he knew Dantata as a very ingenious and generous man who made his wealth through hard work and industry.

He noted that his contributions to the development of Kano State, Northern Nigeria, and the entire country were immense.

The Senate President extended his condolences to the Dantata family, the people and government of Kano State, and the Nigerian business community.

He described the late businessman as an icon, a worthy mentor, and a grandfather.

“In truth, the late Dantata was an institution on his own. He deserves to be emulated and also immortalised,” he said.

“On behalf of my family, constituents, the Senate, and the entire National Assembly, I offer my heartfelt condolences to the Dantata family and pray that Almighty God will grant him Aljanna Firdaus,” the statement concluded.
