Nigeria international Cyriel Dessers has been named Rangers’ top scorer for the 2024/25 campaign.
Dessers received the accolade during the club’s annual Player Awards Ceremony held on Sunday night.
The 30-year-old forward netted 24 goals across all competitions for the Light Blues, strengthening his role as a key contributor to Rangers’ attacking efforts.
His most recent goal came in the 2-2 draw against St Mirren last Saturday, showing his consistent scoring form throughout the season.
Dessers succeeds club captain James Tavernier, who claimed the top scorer award during the previous campaign.
It marks another career highlight for the Nigerian, who has continued to enhance his reputation in Scottish football.
Notably, Dessers was also nominated for Rangers’ 2023/24 Goal of the Season award but narrowly missed out, with Rabbi Matondo winning the honour for his memorable strike against Celtic in the Old Firm derby.
