A Kano court has sentenced a man to death by hanging for killing a couple and their 2-year-old daughter by setting them ablaze.
According to the report, the accused set ablaze the couple; Aminu Bala’s house, killing him, his wife, Ruqayya, and their 2-year-old daughter, Aisha.
Reports say that the business friend of the late victim, Aminu, asked the accused to kill the family after he promised to give him N200,000 after performing the task.
The accused, Idris, was charged with abetment and culpable homicide.
The judge who sat on the case, Justice Amina Adamu-Aliyu senteced Idris to death by hanging after proving guilty beyond any reasonable doubt.
“I hereby sentence Idris to d3ath by hanging for burning the victims alive,” she said.
