Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State reassured that the transition in federal government leadership will not have a negative impact on ongoing projects within the state.
During his first term, these projects were initiated under the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Governor Makinde expressed confidence that the change of leadership from President Buhari to President Tinubu at the federal level will not impede the progress of projects like the Ibadan Dry Port. He emphasized that the new administration recognizes the importance of developing the economic value chain.
The governor believes that the change in government is actually advantageous for Oyo State, as the new federal administration is committed to promoting economic growth. He anticipates increased collaboration between the state and federal government, leading to expedited completion of the projects.
“We are optimistic that our cooperation with the federal government will strengthen under the new administration, and we can expect the timely realization of the project,” Governor Makinde stated.
