An Assemblies of God Church, Okpu 2, in Aba, Abia State has reportedly canceled a couple’s wedding after the bride refused to spend the night in thr pastor’s house.
According to report, the bride refused to spend the night in thr host pastor’s house which is one of the procedures of the church before a member can get married.
The reason for this procedure was to have the bride be counseled by the wife of the officiating priest on the eve of the wedding.
Also, another church rule was that a bride would have to undergo a pregnancy test before the marriage can hold.
According to Promise Uzoma Okoro, an eyewitness “the bride’s refusal to stay at the parsonage, as required, prompted church authorities to cancel the wedding.”
“Guests had already assembled for the event when the announcement was made”, Okoro disclosed.
