Three people were kidnapped on Monday in Gbugbu community of Edu Local Area and of Kwara State, DAILY POST reports.
The abducted victims include two adults and a teenager.
One of the victims is an official of the state government who was abducted between 10:00 and 11:00 pm.
Police Public Relations Officer, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, confirmed the development in a chat with DAILY POST in Ilorin on Tuesday.
Our correspondent gathered that cases of abduction in Edu LGA has continued unabated despite deployment of security forces to the local government.
Reports indicated that similar incidents have been recorded in other communities including Ndeji, where residents have deserted their ancestral homes for safe areas.
Security forces, including soldiers, police, civil defense, local hunters and vigilantes, according to the spokesperson of the police command, have intensified efforts to flush out criminals in the local government as well as in Ifelodun and Patigi, where hideouts of bandits have been discovered.
