A baby has reportedly lost his life after his intoxicated mother tried to warm him up with a hair dryer but later fell asleep.
The 32-year-old mother, Morgan Alyson Creel, is currently facing charges of second-degree murder.
After Morgan Creel woke up the following morning, she realized her 6-week-old baby was unresponsive hence called the emergency services.
After the emergency service arrived, the mother told them she tried to warm up her child with her hair dryer but slept off.
The baby was pronounced dead by the police after several attempts to revive him. The incident report states officers found a “marijuana smoking apparatus” on the back porch.
Creel was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance when the baby died.
Creel allegedly “…did cause cruel and excessive physical and mental pain by leaving a blow-dryer on, and blowing heated air near said child while said accused was passed out and under the influence of a controlled substance,” according to the indictment, obtained by the news outlet.
