Arsenal have reportedly entered the race to sign Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman, with the Premier League club preparing a potential summer move for the in-form Nigerian international.
According to Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, the Gunners have placed the 27-year-old on their transfer shortlist as Mikel Arteta looks to bolster attacking options ahead of next season.
Manchester United and Juventus are also monitoring Lookman’s situation closely.
Lookman has enjoyed a standout campaign in Serie A, registering 20 goals and seven assists across all competitions, which has reignited interest from top European clubs.
Once deemed surplus to requirements at RB Leipzig, the winger has since flourished in Italy, playing a crucial role in Atalanta’s European success.
However, the forward’s future at the club has been clouded by tension with manager Gian Piero Gasperini following a public fallout earlier this season.
Lookman criticized Gasperini’s remarks after his penalty miss in a Champions League match, calling them “deeply disrespectful.”
With his current contract running until 2027, Atalanta are expected to demand a substantial fee for any potential transfer.
The club faces Monza on Sunday, where Lookman will look to further strengthen his market value.
