Manchester United winger Antony is reportedly prepared to accept a 30% reduction on his current £150,000-a-week wages in a bid to force through a transfer this summer.
The Brazilian, who joined United from Ajax in 2022 for a staggering £85 million, has struggled to justify his price tag with just 12 goals in 96 appearances.
After falling out of favour at Old Trafford, the 24-year-old spent the second half of the 2024/25 season on loan at Real Betis.
There, he showed glimpses of his potential, scoring nine goals and providing five assists, including a key role in Betis’ run to the Conference League final.
With United now looking to balance their books and adhere to Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR), the club are open to offloading Antony for a minimum of £32.58 million to avoid registering a loss.
According to the Manchester Evening News, the player himself is pushing for a permanent exit and has offered to reduce his wages to around £100,000 a week to facilitate a move, an unusual gesture of his desire to leave.
A second loan move to Betis, possibly with an obligation to buy, is said to be under consideration.
Other clubs from Spain, Germany and Italy have also expressed interest.
Antony remains under contract with Manchester United until 2027, but all indications suggest that a summer departure is now inevitable.
