Rwanda head coach, Torsten Frank Spittler, has revealed that the country’s Policemen stopped his team from going to the training pitch ahead of their 2025 Cup of Nations, AFCON, qualifier with Nigeria on .

Spittler expressed his dissatisfaction with the poor conditions his team faced ahead of their clash with the at Stade Amahoro in Kigali.

According to him, their training session started late because they were delayed by the Rwandan Police.

Speaking at his press briefing on the eve of the match with the Super Eagles, Spittler told reporters: “We have a very difficult match coming up and we are even creating our own problems here in the country.

“Yesterday [Sunday] we were not allowed to go to the training pitch, stopped by our own police, coming late to the field 30 minutes.

“We had to carry equipment for several hundred meters because we couldn’t park near the field.”
