Transport: Once captured, the CO2 is compressed and transported to a storage site. This can be done via pipelines, ships, or trucks, depending on the location and distance.

Storage: The final step involves injecting the compressed CO2 into deep underground rock formations, such as depleted oil and gas fields or deep saline aquifers. These geological formations can securely trap the CO2 for thousands of years, preventing it from escaping into the atmosphere.
