A couple alongside their four children were reportedly crushed to death at about 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, September 29, 2024, by a truck driver in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital.
The accident occurred along Gusau Hotel roundabout.
According to an eyewitness account, the truck driver was said to be reversing when he smashed into the victims who were on a motorcycle.
It was gathered that the truck driver fled the scene. Operatives of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) have evacuated bodies of the victims.
A member of the Yoruba community in Gusau, Reedwan Abdulazeez, who confirmed the tragic incident said the victims were buried on Sunday evening.
Security expert, Zagazola Makama, also confirmed the incident.
