Gov Bala Mohammaed of Bauchi State has presented the N94.676 billion supplementary budget for the 2024 fiscal year to the State House of Assembly for approval.
The Governor’s request was presented by the Majority Leader, Babayo Mohammed Akuyam, during a plenary session chaired by the Speaker, Abubakar Y. Sulaiman.
The Governor’s letter cited Section 122 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, emphasizing that the additional budget is needed to fast-track the execution of priority projects aimed at enhancing the welfare of Bauchi State’s citizens.
According to Akuyam, the Governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to infrastructural development, human capital improvement, and advancements in the health and education sectors.
