A Nigerian man has stated that Peter Obi stands no chance of clinching the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential ticket for the 2027 elections if Atiku Abubakar remains in the party.
This was revealed in a video posted on X (formerly Twitter) by user @dammiedammie35.
The man, while analyzing the potential flagbearers of the ADC, argued that Obi’s chances are slim due to Atiku’s financial influence.
“Peter Obi will not get that ticket, let’s be honest. As long as Atiku is there, no one can get that ticket,” he said in the video. “That’s why you see they’ve started saying ‘Atiku, step down,’ ‘Atiku, be the father,’ because they know that as long as that man is standing…”
He added, “If coalition is brought up, at the end, they’ll still hold primaries. Dollar flies. If Atiku is there, he’ll win. Peter Obi wouldn’t spend that much, so as long as Atiku is there, Peter Obi will not get that ticket.”
